How to Connect Sennheiser Bluetooth Headphones to TV?

Want to connect your SENNHEISER Bluetooth Wireless Headphones to your TV and listen to TV through them?

No problem! There are TWO ways to do it.

If your TV has built-in Bluetooth capability (please check your TV's user manual), here's what you do:

1. Get your SENNHEISER Headphone into pairing mode (Please scroll to the bottom of the page or see your SENNHEISER user manual.)

2. Go into your TV's Bluetooth menu, search & select your SENNHEISER Headphone to connect.

3. You may adjust the volume via your TV's remote control.

If your TV does NOT have built-in Bluetooth, or if you'd like to connect MORE THAN ONE PAIR of headphones to your TV simultaneously, you'll have to connect using a Bluetooth transmitter for TV, something like these:

Avantree Audikast Plus (Learn More)

Avantree Oasis Plus (Learn More)
Oasis Plus

Avantree TC419 (Learn More)
TC419

With these, you'll be able to:

- Get extended Bluetooth Range.

- Connect up to TWO PAIRS of headphones to your TV (adapter) simultaneously.

- In the case of Oasis Plus, it can be used simultaneously with a SoundBar/Stereo Receiver while sharing ONE Digital Optical Port (See THIS ARTICLE for more details regarding this function.)

Here are the Instructions of Connecting using an Adapter:

1. Connect your Bluetooth adapter to Power.

2. Connect the Bluetooth adapter to the TV. Our adapters support Digital Optical (aka TOSLINK or SPDIF,) 3.5mm Auxiliary (aka Headphones Jack,) and RCA (Red/White) Audio Output Ports. Please see your adapter's user manual for more details.

3. Get your SENNHEISER Headphones into pairing mode (Please scroll to the bottom of the page or see your SENNHEISER user manual.)

4. Get your Bluetooth adapter into Bluetooth Pairing mode as well. Please see your user manual if you're not sure how.

5. Keep your SENNHEISER headphones close to the adapter until they connect.

6. Once connected, if you're using Digital Optical connection, please go to your TV settings menu and change your Digital Audio Format to PCM.

7. And you'd be good to go.

Here's a video that may also help you connect your SENNHEISER HEADPHONES to TV:

Below is a list of how to get SENNHEISER's most popular headphones into Bluetooth Pairing Mode, just for your convenience.

Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC (and HD 4.40): This product supports aptX codec. To enter pairing mode, make sure that the headphone has been turned OFF. Press & hold the power button for 4 seconds until you see the LED indicator flashing RED & BLUE.

Sennheiser PXC 550 Wireless:
Press & hold the EffectMode Control button for 4 seconds or until you hear tones and the voice prompt "pairing". The LED indicators will flash WHITE in sequence.

Sennheiser Momentum 2 (3):
This product supports aptX-HD codec. To enter pairing mode, please make sure that the headphone has been turned OFF. Press & hold the power button until you hear a "pairing" voice prompt. The LED indicator will flash RED & BLUE.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless:
Put the headphones on. Simultaneously touch and hold the right and the left touch control panels for 5 seconds until you hear the voice prompt “Pairing” and a beep.

Do you have instructions how to pair? I can put my Sennheiser in pairing mode by simultaneously touch and hold the right and the left touch control panels for 5 seconds until you hear the voice prompt “Pairing” and a beep.. However How do I make it pair with the DG80? It can pair with my laptop though but that is not what we want of course Many thanks in advance

Hi there I was trying to pair a PCX-550 to a DG-80 and was impossible. Both devices are compatibles? I synced with an AirPods and worked perfect

Yes they are compatible. Maybe try doing it elsewhere? Also turn your Airpods off to reduce interference.

I have an older 2011 Sennheiser in ear model R1830. I do not have the manual for them. The sound is too loud for me even on zero. Is there any other way to turn down volume?

I think normally people want it to be loud that's why it's louder than it needs to be. You should probably contact Sennheiser about it, there customer service department will have a better answer.

I just bought a Sennheiser Momentum 3, and there are frequent crackling noises when using it with the Oasis B transmitter (AptX LL mode). This happens more or less with all source devices that I've connected to the optical input of the Oasis, also when the Oasis is the only connection to the headphone. Is there a solution for this? The Oasis B has already been upgraded with the V1.15 firmware, and the Sennheiser also uses the latest firmware 4.08.

The crackling issue is with aptX LL codec... we did come up with a firmware update that fixes the issue on our other products, but firmware v1.15 isn't it... give me a couple days, we'll provide you with one, is that ok with you?

Hi I’m trying to pair of new Avantree TC418P to a Sennheiser 350BT headphone from 3.5mm headphone jack tv , Bluetooth signal on Avantree (Bluetooth blue led and LL up) and headphone both shown connected but no sound from TV at all. I used wire headphone with 3.5mm headphone jack tv , headphone sound is OK. Confirm Avantree corrected connection with TV from instruction manual. The 350 BT headphone can used with other Bluetooth device properly. I think problem should came from Avantree, Any advice ?
