Compatibility chart of Avantree Quartet 4-headphone-1-transmitter wireless listening system

Wide Compatibility

The transmitter base of the Avantree Quartet can transmit audio from any audio device that can output audio through an AUX or Optical jack – TV, Projector, Stereo Receiver (via 6.35mm adapter), and Blu-ray players. It is perfect any instance where you need multiple headphones connected to the same audio source, such as Movie Nights, Church, Silent Parties, or School Class Sessions.

Cross-Compatible with the Audiplex

In case you’d like to use your own wired headphones, the Quartet transmitter base is also compatible with receiver dongles of Avantree Audiplex; with the Audiplex receiver dongles, you’ll be able to use any headphone that supports 3.5mm AUX audio connection.

Each headphone in the Quartet wireless set can control its own volume independently without affecting others

Personalized Volume Control

We all hear differently, and the volume level that works for one person does not always work for another. The Avantree Quartet Wireless Audio System solves this issue by allowing each headphone to adjust its own volume independently without affecting the other units (headphones) connected; you will no longer have to fight over the remote control to adjust the volume.

The audio and visual are all synchronized with the Avantree Quartet due to its low latency 2.4g technology

No Lip-Sync Delay

The Quartet Wireless TV Headphones kit uses 2.4Ghz technology (NOT Bluetooth) for broadcasting audio; it reduces the audio lag down to ~ 30ms, significantly less than the 220ms of Standard Bluetooth and the 40ms of aptX Low Latency. You will experience NO lip-sync delay no matter how many headphones you connect, making it your go-to choice for enjoying movies with family & friends.

The Quartet set features extended range of up to 100 ft or 30 m between the headphones and the transmitter

Stay Connected, Never Miss a Thing

The 2.4Ghz wireless technology in the Avantree Quartet wireless listening set provides stable & reliable connectivity of up to 100 ft/30 m indoors and up to 300 ft/100m outdoors. Feel free to get up and move around, the connection will remain, and you won’t miss a thing. However, please note that physical obstacles and other wireless connections may negatively affect the actual range.

The Quartet wireless headphones can output audio while the TV external speakers outputs audio

Works with your Wired Speakers

The unique “pass-through” feature of the Quartet set allows the wireless headphones (that are connected to the transmitter) to work with your existing soundbar or stereo receiver/speaker system simultaneously. Ideal for group settings where some people prefer listening without the headphones.

The two volume boost modes of Avantree Quartet can make the volume louder

Volume Boost Modes

The Quartet wireless listening system features two “volume boost” modes. This mode comes in handy when the source volume isn’t loud enough, especially when connected via Digital Optical (TOSLINK/SPDIF). You can easily switch between the three modes with a simple toggle of switch.

Top Questions

  • My Avantree Quartet Headphones won’t charge. Why?

If your headphones are not charging, please try using different USB cables or different USB charging blocks to charge the headphones. Also, try using different wall outlets in your house to see if that fixes the problem.

If your headphones still won't charge, it is possible that they are damaged. If your product is under warranty, contact us and we will replace it free of charge.

Just a warm reminder, please do NOT touch  AUX Input Port when you charge the headphones with a USB cable. The human body has static. If you touch the metal of the AUX port with your bare hands while charging, that might damage the headphones.

  • How to Add More Headphones onto the Quartet

You can add a 5th pair of compatible headphones to the Quartet transmitter to share the audio with more people. Here's a list of compatible devices you can add to the Quartet transmitter: Quartet-RX Headphones, Duet-RX Headphones, and Wireless Audio Receiver for TR2403s. Other headphones will NOT work. In total you can actually connect up to 100 pairs of Quartet headphones to the transmitter. Here are the steps to follow:

Step 1: Turn on the Quartet transmitter, set it to PAIRING MODE manually by pressing and holding the "PAIR" button for 2 seconds until the "Status" LED starts flashing WHITE quickly.

Step 2: Set the headphones into Bluetooth PAIRING MODE (While powered ON , slide the power switch to "PAIR" and hold for 3s , until you see the LED light flashing BLUE quickly).

Step 3: Keep the devices close to each other and wait. Once connected, the“Status” LED on the transmitter will show solid WHITE, and the headphones LED will show solid BLUE

    Note:
    1. All of the 4 original headphones in the Quartet set are factory pre-paired to the transmitter, so normally there is no need to pair them again. If a connection issues occurs, please repeat the above steps to reconnect the headphones to the transmitter.

    2. When you add more headphones to the Quartet transmitter, the audio will pause in the previously connected headphones and resume as soon as the pairing headphones connect successfully.

  • Can I have audio through my TV's Speakers AND Wireless Headphones at the Same Time?

Hearing audio through the TV speaker AND the headphones at the same time

If you'd like to get sound on both your TV speakers AND headphones at the same time, it DEPENDS on whether the TV is able to support getting sound out to two sources simultaneously. It is NOT related to the transmitter. The transmitter receieves the sound from your TV's output and streams it over to your Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

However, if you connect the transmitter to your TV via OPTICAL port and you can see the following options under the SOUND OUTPUT settings on your TV...

You can actually get sound simultaneously! Follow these steps:

    1. Go to SOUND OUTPUT and change this to OPTICAL / EXTERNAL SPEAKER
    2. Once there's sound going out into the headphones, go back to SOUND OUTPUT and change this back to TV SPEAKER

If your TV doesn't support simultaneous output to both the TV speakers and headphones, here are some alternative methods you can consider:

    For Audio Transmitter Users:

Solution 1: Connect the Transmitter to a TV box / AV Receiver instead

If you have a TV box (DirecTV, Xfinity, Bluray Player, etc.), you should be able to find audio output ports on the back of them. Try to connect the Avantree transmitter directly here instead of the TV. This method essentially allows you to "go around" the TV's built-in speakers.

Con: will not work on streaming apps if you have a Smart TV or streaming device

    For all users:

Solution 2: For users with TV Sondbar / AV Receiver

2.1 Use Transmitters with Passthrough Function

If you have a Soundbar or Stereo Receiver, check your transmitter to see if it supports passthrough. If not, you can return your current product and consider purchasing one of these: Orbit, Oasis Plus, Opera, Medley 6018, HT5009, HT5006, Duet, or Quartet.

Our industry leading "Passthrough" function allows you to put the transmitter/base between a TV and an external speaker and have audio come out from both devices AT THE SAME TIME.

    2.2 Use Audio splitter/extractor

    • For AUX Output - Use an audio splitter (e.g. Avantree TR302) to share the TV's audio between an EXTERNAL SPEAKER and the Transmitter. The splitter in this example is a 3.5mm audio splitter

    • For Optical AUDIO OUT - Use an optical splitter (e.g. J-Tech splitter) to share the TV's audio between an EXTERNAL SPEAKER and the Transmitter. The splitter in this example is an optical audio splitter.

    • For HDMI ARC OUT - Use an HDMI Audio Extractor (e.g. HAX05) to share the TV's audio between an EXTERNAL SPEAKER and the Transmitter. The splitter in this example is an ARC supported HDMI audio extractor.

  • I can't adjust the volume on the headphones. How to fix?

If you cannot adjust the volume of the headpones, you can try the following:
    1. Firm click the outter side of the (+/-) buttons on the headphone instead of the middle button. Do not long press or do not hold down.

    2. It may take multiple quick taps of the (+/-) buttons to hear the volume change.

If still no luck, please fill this Verification Form so we can help you further.
