How to Connect TWO Headphones to the SAME TV? This is What You NEED.

To connect TWO Bluetooth Headphones to ONE Television (If you want to do more than 2, please skip to bottom) and have audio come through both headphones at the same time, you'll need a Bluetooth Wireless Adapter, something like these:

Avantree Orbit (Learn MoreONLY Bluetooth Transmitter on the market with LCD Screen Display

TC580 orbit

Oasis Plus (Learn More)

Oasis Plus

Audikast Plus (Learn More)

These adapters can handle up to 2 pairs of headphones at the same time. If you use headphones that support aptX Low Latency, you'll get perfectly synchronized Visual-Audio.

Here's a video to give you an idea on how to do it:

IF you don't already own Bluetooth headphones, not to worry, there are also Adapter + Headphone Combos. Most combos come with only one headphone, in which you can purchase a second pair of headphones independently and connect to the adapter. The procedure will be something like this:

Avantree HT5009 (Learn More)

If you want to save even more trouble, there are also models that come with TWO Headphones + One Adapter... Something like this:

Avantree Audikast D4169 (Learn More)

How to Have Two Headphones Connected to One TV

Avantree HT41866(Learn More)

These Adapter + Headphone Combos are actually much easier to use, requires less technical knowledge; all you have to do is Connect the Adapter to your TV, turn them on, turn the Headphones on and you'd be good to go!

They come in a variety of forms... Over-the-ear, in-ear, neckband... etc. And you'll find that most of them can handle 2 headphones.

IF you're still not sure, here's a video we made that may help you decide on what you want:

Hi Ron, you may do it through our website directly. The extra headset needs to be ordered separately. We'd recommend AS9S.

There are heaps of blogs saying that you cannot have two or more. You might want to google those and sell your wares. Kudos

Hi! At the end of the following blog post (https://avantree.com/ca/blog/how-to-connect-2-headphones-to-the-same-tv-this-is-what-you-need.html) you mentioned that you will explain how to connect more than 2 headphones to a TV with one of your product. Is this blog post out already? If yes, could you please send it to me? Thank you!

Hi! My Dad cant hear that well and always turns up the tv. But my Mom hears okay, and says its too loud. Would Dad be able to listen to headphones while Mom just listens to the sound bar? Also, since it’s Bluetooth, can we just order the one, but then add an existing set of BT headphones in case they both decide to use the headphones (Dad has a set of Bose I think). Thanks for any advice — looking for a good Christmas present! Mike, Boston

Hello, the "Bypass" feature of HT5009, HT5006, and Opera allows simultaneous use with sound bar so they'll be perfect for you. The adapter in the combos mentioned above can all handle 2 headphones at the same time, so they'll also fit the other need you mentioned :)

I just connected my JBL headphones to my TCL tv. No sweat, real easy. Sound quality is same as listening to the telly. I'm going to try this out on my hubby. He is so deaf! If he likes the idea I'm going out to buy an Adapter + Headphone Combo. Thanks. Great site.

When using the headphones, the two viewers can no longer speak to each other. Is there an option with built-in chat through the headphones, such as when split-screen gaming on a console?

Hi, we currently do not have that kind of technology available. Perhaps using a pair of headphones that has Hear-through function will work?

Hi David, no it won't block wifi in the room. Whatever the customer had that's killing the Wifi, it's not our device. All wireless devices can be prone to interference, but not to the point where it'll "block" something else, not even close.

I have two of the Audition Pro headphones. Is it possible to sync both to my TV via Bluetooth at the same time or do I need an adapter? My TV is a Samsung Crystal UHD 8 Series.

You'll need an adapter. I'd recommend our Audikast Plus specifically, I found it the most user friendly :)

I have sound bar sonos which is connected to tv output. I also have a PC connected to TV via HDMI which is mostly used for watching Netflix, PrimeVideo, Hotstar… With above setup in place I would like explore option of family member listening to the audio using via headphone while watching TV programs or Watching Netflix from PC, especially during nights so that the TV sounds don’t disturb people who are sleeping. What’s your recommendation? Best regards Raman

Your sound bar is connected using optical or HDMI ARC? We have several solutions but they'll only work if you're using optical or analog connections for your sound bar (from TV).
