Using your own headphone/headset with an Avantree USB adapter but unhappy with the Voice-Chat sound quality. That is because the headphone doesn't support Faststream codec.
FastStream is a type of Bluetooth codec, all the Avantree USB adapters mentioned above supports FastStream. When you connect a headphone/headset that supports FastStream to the adapter, you'll be able to get 16-bit Stereo Quality voice chats - much better than the Mono quality you've been getting through your own headphones.
Or if you use Avantree C81 on PS4/PS5, you could use the 3.5mm mic which is coming with C81 to get the stereo sound quality while talking- How to use the 3.5mm microphone?
Please feel free to contact us at support@avantree.com if you're still not sure.
1. It is an audio adapter and recognized as a USB sound card / USB speaker when plugged in. No Bluetooth icon will appear on PC. 2. The pairing / connection via Bluetooth is between the DG60 and your headphones / speaker, not the PC.
Step 1: Plug the DG60 In.
Step 2: Get the DG60 into Pairing Mode.
1st-Time Use: It'll automatically enter pairing mode. The LED indicator will rapidly flash BLUE & WHITE. Note 1.2: Non-1st Time Use: Press & Hold the MFB button on DG60 until the LED indicator starts flashing BLUE & WHITE rapidly.
Step 3: Put your Headphones/Speakers into Bluetooth Pairing Mode.
Headphone / Speaker 1st-Time Use: The Headphone/Speaker should enter pairing mode automatically when powered on.
Note 1.3: Non-1st-Time Use: Merely powering on WILL NOT get it into pairing mode, you'll need to do so manually. Please either refer to the brand list below or refer to your Headphone/Speaker's user manual. You also can search on Google. E.g. “Bose QC35 Bluetooth Pairing Mode”
Note 1.4: It is important to turn your cellphone, PC or any other previously paired-with devices' Bluetooth function off to avoid interference.
With both devices in pairing mode, give them a few seconds. Once connected, the flashing on the DG60 will slow down.
If you still can't get DG60 to pair with your bluetooth headphones/speakers, please try to Factory reset DG60 and your devices and try again.
