Platforms
- Google / Android — Already supports unicast and Auracast. New Android models reliably detect and join streams, with streamlined user experience. Fuchsia OS is being developed with LE Audio in mind.
- Intel — Has implemented unicast support on Windows platforms and is preparing for Auracast enablement on PCs.
- Microsoft — Windows 11 supports LE Audio unicast; Auracast features are publicly discussed as being on the roadmap.
- Apple — Strong presence at UPF. Publicly, the company has focused on unicast. Auracast support has not yet been announced, but industry consensus suggests that once Apple joins, adoption will accelerate.
Chipmakers Driving Auracast
- Qualcomm — Market leader in Classic Bluetooth audio (aptX, aptX Adaptive). Now offering combined Classic + Auracast solutions with multiple codec support.
