Back to TopThe Soundbyte/Boombyte offers 4 different play modes for the SD card:
1. Repeat All – It plays all tunes in each and every folder on the SD card, starting with the earliest uploaded folders/tunes first. At the end it'll repeat.
2. Repeat Folder – It plays tunes in one specific folder only, starting with the earliest uploaded tunes first. When it reaches the end of the folder, it'll repeat.
3. Repeat One – It plays the same tune on repeat.
4. Random Mode – It randomly plays your tunes from all folders.
If you have some tunes you particularly like, we recommend using Repeat Folder mode - put all of the songs you want to repeat in one folder and use this mode.
When you stop playback, the Soundbyte/Boombyte will remember the mode and the track and will resume where you left off the next time you press play.

Back to TopOne of the features of the SP850 is the FM radio. To set the SP850 in FM mode, simply press the "Mode" button underneath the display. Please refer to the guides below for more instructions on how to operate the SP850 in this mode.
Deleting a single station
To delete one saved channel, go to that channel either with the number buttons at the top of the SP850 or with the forward/backward buttons on either side of the play/pause button underneath the display. When you are on the station you would like to delete, short-press the "Menu" button and select the "Delete" option in the menu. Pressing the "Menu" button again will delete this station, and all other saved stations after it will move one number up.
For example, if you delete the station in channel 5 and you have 7 channels saved, then channels 6 and 7 will now become channels 5 and 6 respectively after you delete channel 5.
Deleting all saved stations
If you would like to delete all of your saved stations, go to the menu by short-pressing the "Menu" button and select "Delete all" (which should be the option right underneath "Delete"). Pressing the "Menu" button again will delete all of your saved channels.
If you would like to browse all available stations in your area, short-press the "Menu" button under the display. Select "Auto-searching" by pressing the "Menu" button again ("Auto-searching" should be the first option).
Now, the SP850 will cycle through all of the radio frequencies and save the ones that are broadcasting in your area. To go back and forth between the saved channels, use the forward and backward buttons on either side of the play/pause button. Alternatively, you can use the number buttons to go to whichever station is saved in that slot.
In FM mode, you can access the menu to perform different tasks. To open the menu, simply short-press the "Menu" button located underneath the display.
When inside the menu, use the forward/backward buttons located on either side of the play button to go up and down in the menu screen.
The options in the menu are: "Auto-searching", "Change channel", "Delete", and "Delete all". The "Return" option returns you to the previous screen. To select one of these options, press on the "Menu" button again.
If you are inactive on the menu screen for a long period of time, it will automatically exit you out of the menu and return to the FM radio screen.
There are a few ways to navigate through the stations in FM mode.
Method 1: Manually entering the station
By using the number buttons at the top of the device, you can enter in the number to a station of your choice (without the decimal point) and the SP850 will go to that station. Additionally, entering in a station will save that station into the next available slot which can be easily accessed if you want to return to that station.
Method 2: Number Buttons
If you have saved your stations in the SP850, you can press the number buttons at the top of the device to go to the station saved in that channel's number. For example, if you saved station 97.3 in slot 1, pressing the number 1 will take you to station 97.3.
Method 3: Scrolling through the stations
If you press and hold on the forward/backward buttons on either side of the play/pause button, the SP850 will scroll through the stations until it finds the closest available station and save it under the next available numbered slot.
Method 4: Manually scrolling through each frequency
To scroll through each individual frequency, you will need to first go to the menu by short-pressing the "Menu" button under the display. Then select "Change channel" and select "Frequency". After returning to the FM radio screen, each click on the forward/backward buttons will allow you to go to the next/previous frequency respectively without the SP850 automatically finding the next/previous station.
Setting and saving a radio station
Saving Favorite Stations
Step 1: Take note of the station numbers of the stations you would like to save during auto-searching(Finding Available Stations).
Step 2: Press and hold the "MENU" button, then select "Factory Reset" to clear all auto saved stations.
Step 3: Enter the station numbers directly. For example: press the numbers 9-7-3, and FM 97.3 will be saved to Station 1; then press 1-0-3-6 and FM 103.6 will be saved to Station 2. Continue entering the numbers directly to select and save stations.
Notes: The saved stations will be set in ascending order by default, (For example: If you want to save the stations 103.6; 101.2; 102.5; and 87.7, no matter which channel you prefer to save as channel 1, it will default to Station 1: 87.7; Station 2: 101.2; Station 3: 102.5; Station 4: 103.6)
