It's compact, portable, simple and straight forward to use. Radio receptivity.is good (FM only) and speaker quality good and clear. I noticed a problem with the firmware when I starting using an SD card with music on it. While the folder navigation a a great feature to have, not found on most other portable speakers, I found mine frustratingly slow, requiring several presses of the button before getting a response or simply a hit and miss affair. Over all good product but the firmware a let down.
Let me tell you. It is small, portable, light weight, slick. I would not carry it in my pocket, but it is light enough. Since i inteded to use it around construction sites i build a wooden case for it in precaution for any damage. Yet no damage taken. The sound is good enough. It is no HiFi tower. It is not a big JBL. Aldough it is still good. It has the BL-5C battery, the old nokia one that is still available ane dirt cheap. What a great decision by the designer. (I still use it in my primary phone) From my two years of experience with SP850 it almost never happend that i run out of battery life without option to just charge it on the spot. It has the good old bluetooth connectivity, but interestingly enough, if you connect it to you good old pc via usb, you can controll your VLC player by the device. It has many cards up its sleve like that, and the manual doesn't mention it anywhere. I prefere to use the SD card slot with 32GB card full of MP3 files, whitch is like DAYs worth of music. Without any other equipment. It is briliant. No matter where I find myself and I feel like playing music to work. I simply pull the SP850 out of the tool, turn the wheel, put it anywhere and forget about it. The other features alike FM radio are fine. No antena just means that you have no antena to break. If you know the FM band, you can just type it in. No need for auto-search - but it is still there if you need to seach. It has AUX in AND AUX out. For 40 eur? No question. For resoucefull individual - excelent. For basic ******* user. Go figure.
The purchase experience was fine, the phone arrived on time and in good order. The product stated wi-fi speaker, and I took that to mean it could connect to AirPods which it does not. Also, the antenna is the. Barging cable or the accessory cable that in my case they need to be plugged in all the time. I made the purchase without fully investigating the radio’s capabilities. I will use it, but it is not as useful as I I had hoped.
