How to Update

Follow these three steps to safely update your Avantree device to the latest firmware.

Download Updater

Download and install the Avantree Firmware Updater on your Windows PC or Mac.

Connect Device

Connect your device to the computer using a USB data cable. Keep non-battery devices powered on.

Update in App

Open the updater, select your device, and follow the on-screen instructions until the update is complete.

1Before downloading

  • Choose the installer that matches your computer: Windows or macOS.
  • Install the updater and allow any requested system permissions.
  • Close other applications that may be using the connected device.

2Before connecting

  • Use a USB cable that supports data transfer, not a charging-only cable.
  • Connect directly to the computer when possible instead of using a USB hub.
  • Keep the device powered on and sufficiently charged during the update.

3During the update

  • Do not disconnect the USB cable or turn off the computer.
  • Wait until the updater confirms that the process is complete.
  • Restart the device after updating if the updater requests it.
Important

Do not unplug, power off, or close the updater while firmware is being installed. Interrupting the process may prevent the device from starting normally.
