What can your hearing aids do?
Joining depends on your hearing aids.

You can hear music from your phone through your hearing aids
You can switch your hearing aids to “T” or “MT”
Not sure about T or MT?
Look for a T or MT setting in your hearing aid app or paperwork. If you cannot find one, ask your hearing care professional.
Step 2 · Join the broadcast
Join with myPhonak
Open Auracast Assistant
In myPhonak, open your hearing program and tap Join an Auracast broadcast.
Scan the broadcast QR code
Tap Scan QR code, then point the camera at the broadcast QR code.
Join the broadcast
Tap Join broadcast.
Connected: You hear the broadcast and myPhonak shows the Broadcast program. No sound?
Cannot find Auracast Assistant? Check the app and model requirements.
Already joined, or using Android?
Return to the saved Broadcast program
- Wait about 10 seconds for automatic reconnection.
- If needed, open myPhonak and select the saved Broadcast program.
Connected: You hear the broadcast again. You can also long-press the hearing-aid button to return to the Auracast program.
Use Android's built-in Auracast Assistant
- Open your phone's Auracast or broadcast-audio controls.
- Select the nearby broadcast.
No Auracast option? Your phone may not support it. Use the First time myPhonak method instead.
FIX A PROBLEM
Get the broadcast playing again.
I scanned the code but hear nothing
Try these in order:
- Move closer to the transmitter.
- Make sure the broadcast is still running.
- Raise the hearing-aid volume in myPhonak or with the hearing-aid buttons.
- Leave the broadcast, then tap Try again.
It is fixed when: myPhonak shows the Broadcast program and you hear the audio.
The broadcast disconnected
The hearing aids try to reconnect for about 10 seconds while still in range. If they do not:
- Long-press the hearing-aid push button to return to the first manual program, the Auracast program; or
- In myPhonak, change the hearing-aid program back to the saved Broadcast program.
My phone volume buttons do not change the sound
This is expected for Auracast broadcast audio. Adjust volume with the hearing-aid buttons or the volume control in myPhonak. The phone's volume buttons do not control the broadcast stream.
I cannot find Auracast Assistant
Try these checks:
- Update myPhonak to version 7.5 or newer.
- Confirm your hearing aids are one of the compatible EON models listed above.
- Reconnect the hearing aids in myPhonak, then open Devices → Streaming again.
If it is still missing: ask Phonak or your hearing care professional to confirm support for your exact model.

- The phone sends the broadcast to hearing aids already connected by Bluetooth, MFi, or ASHA.
