Connecting to a Windows PC / Laptop
The HT4186 transmitter supports Micro-USB digital audio input from your PC/Laptop. This delivers much better audio quality compared to the standard 3.5mm AUX port.
Step 1: Connect the Transmitter to your PC/laptop.
Take the GRAY Micro-USB Cable that we provided in the box, plug one end of it into the DCIN Port on the transmitter, and plug the other end into an USB Port on your computer.
Note: The connecting cable must have both DATA SYNC and CHARGING capabilities.
Step 2: Turn on the Transmitter AND the Headphones.
Turn the transmitter on by flipping the power switch to ON. Turn the headphones on by pressing & holding the MFB button (power button) until you see its LED indicator turn ON.
The two devices should auto-connect right away.
Step 3: Set the transmitter as the "Default Playback Device."
- Right-click the Speaker Icon on the bottom-right of the taskbar and select “Playback devices.”
- Select “Avantree Audikast” as the “Default Device.”
