QUICK SETUP

Pair first. Then choose PS5 audio.

Keep the C81-Gaming and headphones within 3 ft / 1 m. Turn off Bluetooth on nearby phones and computers before pairing.

STEP 1

Put your headphones in pairing mode.

Turn off Bluetooth on nearby phones and computers first. Simply turning headphones on is not enough—they must be in pairing mode.

Choose your headphones

PUT YOUR HEADPHONES IN PAIRING MODE

  1. Select a brand to see how to enter pairing mode.
  2. Keep the headphones close to C81-Gaming.
Success looks like: the headphone light flashes in its pairing pattern, or the case indicates pairing.

FIX A PROBLEM

Start with what you see or hear.

Headphones will not pair
  1. Turn off Bluetooth on nearby phones and computers.
  2. Confirm the headphones are in pairing mode—not just powered on.
  3. Hold the C81-Gaming button 2 seconds until blue + white flash.
  4. Reset both devices, then repeat setup within 3 ft / 1 m.

If using a USB 3.2 port, move the adapter away from the console with a USB extension cable to reduce interference.

Connected, but there is no sound
  1. On PS5, choose USB Headset (Avantree C81-Gaming) as Output Device.
  2. Raise PS5 and headphone volume.
  3. Confirm the C81-Gaming LED is slow-flashing blue.
  4. Reconnect the adapter and restart the game or console.
Other players cannot hear me

Bluetooth headphone microphones are not supported for the recommended high-quality PS5 setup. Set Input Device to Microphone on Controller. This preserves game-audio quality.

Audio is delayed

Low latency requires headphones that also support aptX Adaptive or aptX Low Latency. AirPods and many standard Bluetooth headphones may have noticeable delay. Move closer and disconnect competing Bluetooth sources.

C81-Gaming reconnects to the wrong headset

Turn off the unwanted headset and nearby Bluetooth devices. Reset the adapter and the intended headphones, then pair them again at close range.

My device is not supported

Not compatible with Xbox, PS Portal, PULSE 3D, 2.4 GHz gaming headsets, keyboards, mice, controllers, TVs, car systems, projectors, or printers. It sends audio to one Bluetooth headphone, earbud set, or speaker.
