What you need is a perfect fit for the unique "Bypass" function that's only available on Oasis Plus, HT5009, HT5006!

In short, the "Bypass" mode basically involves installing the HT5009 (or HT5006 or Oasis Plus) between your TV and your sound system (Sound Bar, AV Receiver...)


This is often used under 2 scenarios:

  1. When the port (Optical or AUX) on your TV is already occupied by your sound system yet you would like to install the HT5009.
  2. When you'd like to have your TV audio come out from both your Headphones (that are paired with the transmitter) AND your Sound System, so that your family / friends can enjoy TV as well.

Setting Up the Bypass Mode

Step 1: Connect the transmitter to a power source. You may either flip the power switch to "TX" to turn it on or simply leave it as off.

Step 2: Connect the transmitter to your TV using one of the ports under the label "TX Input from TV" located on the back of the transmitter.

Step 3: Connect the transmitter to your Sound System (AV Receiver of SoundBar etc.) using one of the ports under the label "RX Output to Speaker" located on the back of your transmitter.

Please make sure that you're using the same connection here as the connection you've used on the TX side. For instance, if you're using Optical Digital connection between your TV and your transmitter, you'd have to use Optical Digital here as well.

Now, assuming that you've already connected your Headphones to your transmitter beforehand, you're good to go! If you haven't done the pairing, please turn on your headphones connect them.

Ways to use the Bypass function:

  • Hearing from both your Headphones and your Sound System: Please make sure your transmitter is ON and functioning on "TX" mode.
  • Hearing from ONLY the Sound System: You may either turn your transmitter off, or simply turn your Headphones off.
  • Hearing from ONLY the Headphones: Easy, just turn your Sound System off.
