As you may know, earbuds get dirty pretty easily. Earwax, dust, water, etc. can all do damage to them. Uncleaned earbuds may lead to:

  • The music sounding muddy or muffled
  • Different volume levels on the two earbuds
  • Abnormally low volume / tinny sound after prolonged use

Daily maintenance can effectively eliminate such problems

  • Before wearing the earbuds, make sure to clean the inner side of your ear.
  • Always wear and use earbuds in a dry condition.
  • After using the earbuds, wipe the inside of the earbud tip with a soft and dry towel (microfiber preferred) to remove dust, earwax, or oil from your skin.

If you are experiencing different volume levels on the two earbuds, please follow the steps below to clean them out:

Please contact customer support for a free set speaker mesh if you need.

  • Materials you'll need: a cotton swab (Q-tip) and a dry brush (if you can't find the black cleaning brush, you can use a toothbrush instead).
  • Take off the earbud tips from the earbuds smoothly. Do not use excessive force as the earbud tips may tear.
  • Use a cotton swab and dry brush to remove any debris and foreign materials.
  • Repeat step 3 until all foreign materials are dislodged and removed.
  • After cleaning is complete, please place the earbud tip back onto the earbuds. Give them a little push and they should attach into place.

Here's how to install & remove the speaker mesh on the earbuds if they get too dirty.

Please note: do not use liquids such as alcohol or soapy water for cleaning the earbuds as some of our earbuds may be damaged by liquid.

If this doesn't fix your problem, consider getting replacement earbud tips or earfin tips. For more help, send us an email at support@avantree.com
