How to Add and Use with a 2nd Pair of Headphones to Medley 6018
You can add a 2nd pair of headphone to Medley 6018 and share the audio with a partner. Recommended headphones to achieve the next-to-none audio delay are Avantree earbuds NB18T, NB16 or big headphones Aria series. You can also add your own headphone as the 2nd pair but you might experience some audio delay.
Step by step how to add a 2nd pair headphones to Medley:
Step 1. Turn the TV OFF (as Smart TV streaming service affects Bluetooth pairing)
Step 2. Turn on & Connect the Medley 6018 Set
2.1. Remove the earbuds from the base.
2.2. Switch ON the base, Switch on the earbuds.
2.3. Wait a few seconds for them to connect. The LED indicator on the headphone and the transmitter will both turn SOLID BLUE.
Step 3. Pair the Base with the 2nd Headphone
3.1. Put your 2nd pair of Headphones into Bluetooth Pairing Mode.
! NOT only turn it on. You need to manually push it into pairing mode. (Most Bluetooth devices enter pairing mode automatically when pairing with the 1st device. But when pair with a 2nd device, you need to manually push it into the pairing mode.)
- For Avantree headphones, the LED flashes RED & BLUE under the pairing mode. You should also hear a "Pairing" voice prompt from the headphones.
- For Non-Avantree Headphones: Look it up by Brand or google it. For example, search “Sony XM4 Bluetooth Pairing mode” and you will find “To pair a second or subsequent device, press and hold the (power) button of the headset for 7 seconds or more to enter pairing mode.
3.2. Get the Transmitter into Bluetooth Pairing Mode.
Slide the power button to "Pair" icon position for 2 seconds, LED indicator on the transmitter base will start flashing RED & BLUE.
3.3. Put them close to each other and WAIT for them to pair & connect.
Once connected, the LED indicators on the transmitter will turn SOLID BLUE.
Step 4. Reconnect during Future Use:
4.1. Turn on the base and original earbuds. Wait for them to connect first.
4.2. Then turn on the 2nd pair of headphones. Wait for 5-10 sec and they will re-connect.
If not, please click the PLAY button on the 2nd headphone and Wait for 5-10 seconds.
If your 2nd pair of headphones is from another set, it will not auto-reconnect to Medley base. You will need to push the On/Off switch to the right side once to initiate the reconnection to the 2nd pair of headphone.
