Auracast on your Bluetooth headphones or hearing aids

Aura C sends Auracast audio through your phone to Bluetooth headphones or hearing aids. It also supports live captions.

SETUP

Set up Aura C on your phone.

Use a USB-C phone or tablet for these 3 steps.

Older iPhone with a Lightning port? Use a compatible USB-C-to-Lightning adapter cable. Not included.

    Plug in Aura C

    Aura C fully inserted into a phone's USB-C port

    Insert Aura C fully into the USB-C port.If asked to allow USB access, tap Allow.

    USB access denied?Unplug Aura C, reconnect it, then choose Allow in the USB prompt.

    Find and join the broadcast

    1. Tap Find Auracast.
    2. Tap your broadcast. Its name appears blue when selected.

FIX A PROBLEM

Common questions

msHow much audio delay should I expect?

The phone-speaker path adds about 60–80 ms. Bluetooth headphones or hearing aids may add another 180–280 ms with SBC, for about 240–360 ms total.

Can one Aura C serve multiple listeners?

One Aura C supports one phone and its selected audio output. For multiple listeners, each person needs their own Aura C setup or another compatible Auracast receiver.

    Connect Aura C to the broadcast

    Move Aura C to the computer

    Unplug it from the phone or tablet, then plug it into the computer.

  3. 3

    Turn on Live Captions

    Choose one:

    • Built-in Live Captions (supported system versions only)
    • Third-party caption app

    Result: Captions appear on the venue screen.

FIRMWARE UPDATE

Update only when prompted.

    Prepare

    Keep the phone charged and Aura C firmly connected.

  2. 2
    Start the update

    Open Aura C Settings → Firmware Update, review the release note, then confirm.

  3. 3
    Wait for completion

    Wait until the App confirms success.

During the update: do not unplug Aura C, close the App, or power off the phone.
