Step 1 · Find your connection
What can your hearing aids do?
Joining depends on your hearing aids.
You can hear music from your phone through your hearing aids
You can switch your hearing aids to “T” or “MT”
Not sure about T or MT?
Look for a T or MT setting in your hearing aid app or paperwork. If you cannot find one, ask your hearing care professional.
SETUP PATH
Using ReSound Smart 3D
Use the latest version of the ReSound Smart 3D app.
Open the device list
Tap Search or SEE ALL DEVICES.
Select the broadcast
Choose the broadcast you want. Once joined, you will hear its audio.
Adjust streaming volume
Set the stream to a comfortable level.
Lower or mute Surroundings volume for clearer broadcast audio.

Aura C phone hearing aids
- Plug Aura C into a compatible USB-C phone.
- The phone sends the broadcast to hearing aids already connected by Bluetooth, MFi, or ASHA.
Aura C does not pair directly with hearing aids.

Switch to T or MT. The neckloop sends the broadcast to your hearing aids.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Common issues
Match what you hear, try the action, then check the expected result.
01No sound
Recognize: the broadcast appears selected, but your hearing aids are silent.
- Confirm the Auracast broadcast source is powered on and broadcasting normally.
- Move closer, rescan in ReSound Smart 3D and raise streaming volume.
Expected: broadcast audio plays through both hearing aids. If it does not, restart the broadcast source and repeat the scan.
02Not hearing clearly
Recognize: broadcast audio plays, but room sound makes it difficult to understand.
- Set streaming volume to a comfortable level.
- Lower or mute Surroundings volume in ReSound Smart 3D when that control is available.
Expected: the broadcast becomes clearer without uncomfortable loudness.
03Hearing echo or delay
Recognize: the same broadcast reaches you through your hearing aids and a nearby speaker at slightly different times.
- Lower or mute Surroundings volume in ReSound Smart 3D.
- Mute the nearby speaker, such as a TV speaker.
- Use one listening path at a time.
Expected: only one synchronized audio path remains.
