Pebble Aura Setup Guide

Set up Bluetooth or Auracast listening, then confirm you can hear audio

First-time setup

Activate the earbuds

Do these three steps once before connecting

First, remove both protective filmsThey cover the charging contacts. Leaving them on prevents activation.

Remove both protective filmsCheck that the metal charging contacts are uncovered.

Put both earbuds in the caseSeat each earbud fully.

Close the lidWait 5 seconds.

Ready: open the case and choose a listening mode.

Not ready? Reopen the lid. Confirm both films are fully removed and both earbuds sit on the charging contacts, then close the lid for 5 seconds again.

Choose how you want to listen

Connect with Bluetooth

Take both earbuds out of the case.Pairing starts automatically. The LED flashes red and blue.

Not flashing red and blue? Hold the + button on either earbud for 5 seconds.

Open Bluetooth on your device.Select Pebble Aura.

Connected: the LED turns solid blue. Play audio and confirm you can hear it.

No sound? Go to Connected, but there is no sound.

Choose how to join

Join Medley Pebble 2

Hold the transmitter's Mode button for 2 seconds. The LED flashes orange rapidly.

On either earbud, hold the − button for 5 seconds. Its LED flashes orange rapidly.

Keep them closeWait for the connection to complete.

Joined: the earbud LED stays solid orange for 3 seconds, then turns off.

Not joined? Go to Cannot join the Medley Pebble 2 transmitter.

Join another broadcast

Select Pebble Aura when adding your headphones in the app.

Get the Avantree appDownload it from the App Store or Google Play.

Connect Pebble Aura to your phonePair it in your phone's Bluetooth settings first.

Add Pebble AuraOpen the app, tap to add a device, then choose Pebble Aura.

Choose a broadcastTap Auracast, then select the broadcast you want.

For an encrypted broadcastEnter its password. Tap the information icon, then tap Save.

Joined: play the selected broadcast and confirm you can hear it.

Broadcast not listed? Go to The app cannot find Pebble Aura or a broadcast.

How to wear

Follow the curve of your ear

Place the ear hook along the contour of your ear.

Adjust volume

Change the volume one step at a time

Use the buttons on either earbud

Wear either earbudPlay audio so you can hear each change.

Press + or − onceUse either earbud. The volume change applies to both earbuds.

Repeat one press at a timeStop when the volume feels comfortable.

Success: each short press changes the listening volume.

No change? Confirm audio is playing, then press + or − once. If there is still no sound, use the troubleshooting section.

Firmware update

Update Pebble Aura in the app

The app opens an update prompt automatically when a new version is available.

    Connect Pebble Aura to your phonePair and connect the earbuds in your phone's Bluetooth settings.

    Open the Avantree-Avantalk appGet the app if it is not installed.
  3. 3
    Confirm the updateWhen the update prompt appears, follow it to complete the upgrade.
Updated: the app confirms when the update is complete.

No update prompt? No new version is currently offered for your connected Pebble Aura.

Fix a problem

Choose what is going wrong

Bluetooth device cannot find Pebble Aura

Possible cause: Pebble Aura is not in Bluetooth pairing mode.

Try this:

  1. Move Pebble Aura close to the phone, computer, or TV.
  2. Hold the + button on either earbud for 5 seconds.
  3. Wait for red and blue flashing, then select Pebble Aura.

Expected result: the LED becomes solid blue.

Still not fixed: open the Pebble Aura Support page or contact Support below.

Cannot join the Medley Pebble 2 transmitter

Possible cause: the transmitter or earbuds are not searching for Auracast.

Try this:

  1. Hold the transmitter's Mode button for 2 seconds until its LED flashes orange rapidly.
  2. Hold the − button on either earbud for 5 seconds until the earbud LED flashes orange rapidly.
  3. Keep the earbuds close to the transmitter.

Expected result: the earbud LED turns solid orange for 3 seconds, then turns off.

Still not fixed: repeat both search actions, then contact Support below.

The app cannot find Pebble Aura or a broadcast

Possible cause: Pebble Aura is not connected to the phone, or the broadcast has not been selected in Auracast.

Try this:

  1. In the phone's Bluetooth settings, connect Pebble Aura.
  2. Open the Avantree-Avantalk app and choose Pebble Aura.
  3. Tap Auracast, then select the broadcast.
  4. For an encrypted broadcast, enter its password, tap the information icon, then tap Save.

Expected result: the selected broadcast plays through Pebble Aura.

Still not fixed: confirm the broadcast name and password with the venue, then contact Support below.

Connected, but there is no sound

Possible cause: playback is stopped, volume is too low, or the expected connection did not complete.

Try this:

  1. Start playback at the source.
  2. Raise the source and earbud volumes from low levels.
  3. For Bluetooth, confirm the LED is solid blue. After joining Auracast, confirm the orange LED stays solid for 3 seconds and then turns off.

Expected result: audio plays through both earbuds.

Still not fixed: reconnect with the matching setup path, then contact Support below.

Only one earbud has sound

Possible cause: the earbuds did not restart together.

Try this:

  1. Place both earbuds in the charging case.
  2. Wait a few seconds, then remove both together.
  3. Reconnect Pebble Aura and start audio.

Expected result: both earbuds play.
