TROUBLESHOOTING

Common issues

Match what you hear, try the action, then check the expected result.

01No sound

Recognize: the broadcast appears selected, but the sound processor is silent.

  • Confirm the Auracast source is powered on and broadcasting normally.
  • Move closer, tap Find a broadcast again and raise broadcast volume.

Expected: broadcast audio plays through the sound processor. If it does not, restart the broadcast source and repeat the scan.

02Not hearing clearly

Recognize: broadcast audio plays, but surrounding sound makes it difficult to understand.

  • Raise the broadcast level to a comfortable volume.
  • Lower the surroundings level in the Cochlear app when that control is available.

Expected: the broadcast becomes clearer without uncomfortable loudness.

03Hearing echo or delay

Recognize: the same broadcast reaches you through the sound processor and a nearby speaker at slightly different times.

  • Lower the surroundings level in the Cochlear app.
  • Mute the nearby speaker, such as a TV speaker.
  • Use one listening path at a time.

Expected: only one synchronized audio path remains.
