Oasis Plus 2 Setup Guide

Set up TV audio in five steps

Choose your TV audio output, connect Oasis Plus 2, then pair your headphones and listen.

Not supported: Auracast hearing aids.

Step 01

Choose your TV audio OUT

Find one TV port labeled AUDIO OUT.

TaskChoose the first available TV Audio OUT. You will connect only one audio cable.

  1. Check the TV labels

    Use an OUT port, never an IN port.

  2. Choose Optical first

    Use OPTICAL or DIGITAL AUDIO OUT when available.

  3. No Optical? Use AUX

    Use HEADPHONES, AUX OUT or AUDIO OUT.

  4. No AUDIO OUT? Use an adapter
    HDMI ARC/eARC onlyUse the Avantree HAX06 HDMI ARC adapter ↗ to create an Optical output.
    RCA OUTUse an RCA-to-3.5 mm adapter.
    Requires a separate adapter.

Step 02

Connect Oasis Plus 2 to the TV

TaskPower Oasis Plus 2, then connect only the cable chosen in Step 01.

  1. Connect the USB-C power cable

    Plug the USB-C end into the Oasis Plus 2 power port.

    Plug the other end into either:

    • Powered TV USB port
    • 5 V USB wall adapter
  2. Turn on Oasis Plus 2

    Slide the power switch to ON.

    ReadyThe power and indicator lights turn on.
    No lights? Reconnect both ends of the USB-C cable, then try another powered TV USB port or 5 V USB wall adapter.
  3. Connect the cable chosen in Step 01
    Optical

    Connect TV OPTICAL OUT → Oasis Plus 2 OPTICAL INPUT FROM TV.

    Remove both clear tip covers.
    ReadyBoth square plugs are fully inserted.

    AUX

    Connect TV HEADPHONES / AUDIO OUT → Oasis Plus 2 AUX INPUT FROM TV.

Use INPUT FROM TV on Oasis Plus 2, not OUTPUT TO SPEAKER.

DoneOasis Plus 2 is on and the selected cable is connected. Keep it connected for Step 03.

If notNo lights: recheck the power cable and powered USB source. No connection: recheck both audio-cable ends and use a TV port labeled OUT.

Step 03

Set TV sound and check the signal

Use the card that matches the cable connected in Step 02. Then check the selected OPT or AUX light on Oasis Plus 2.

PCM or Stereo
Do not use Dolby, DTS, Auto or Bitstream.

Select Audio Out and raise the volume

Check the OPT or AUX light

Play a TV program with speaking voices.

ReadyThe selected OPT or AUX light stays solid white.

Flashing white? Oasis Plus 2 is not receiving TV audio. Reseat the cable and check the matching TV settings above. More help →

Want TV speakers on too?

DoneThe selected OPT or AUX light is solid white while TV audio plays.

If notOptical: recheck the TV OUT connection and PCM setting. AUX: raise the TV volume and recheck the AUDIO OUT connection.

STEP 04

Pair your headphones

Pair with Oasis Plus 2—not your TV or phone.
  1. Put headphones in pairing mode

    Turning them on is not enough.

    Turn off Bluetooth on nearby phones and computers.

    There is a button

    AirPods 1–3 / AirPods Pro 1–2

    1. Open the case with your AirPods inside.
    2. Hold the button on the back for about 5 seconds.

    There is no button

    AirPods 4 or 5 / AirPods Pro 3

    1. Open the case with your AirPods inside.
    2. Double-tap the front of the case.
    AirPods 4 or 5, or AirPods Pro 3 case front double-tapped until the status light flashes white

    Ready when: the case light flashes white.

    AirPods Max

    Press and hold the noise control button for about 5 seconds.

    Ready when: the status light flashes white.

    Bose
    1. Turn on the headphones or open the earbud case.
    2. Hold the Bluetooth or power button until the light flashes blue or you hear “Ready to connect.”

    Ready when: the light flashes blue or the voice prompt confirms pairing.

    Beats
    1. Turn on the headphones.
    2. Hold the system or power button until the indicator flashes.

    Ready when: the indicator flashes for pairing.

    Sony
    1. With the headphones off, hold the power button for about 5 seconds.
    2. For Sony earbuds, use the case or touch-sensor pairing command for your exact model.

    Ready when: the light flashes blue or you hear “Bluetooth pairing.”

    Samsung Galaxy Buds
    1. Place both earbuds in the case, close it for 5–6 seconds, then open it.
    2. If pairing does not start, wear both earbuds and touch both touchpads until you hear the pairing sound.

    Ready when: the earbuds announce pairing or show their pairing pattern.

    JBL
    1. Hold the Bluetooth or power button until the indicator flashes rapidly.
    2. If JBL reconnects to a phone, turn that phone Bluetooth off and try again.

    Ready when: the indicator flashes rapidly.

    Other headphones
    1. Hold the power, Bluetooth, or main button until the light flashes rapidly.
    2. Check the headphone manual for the exact command if the light does not change.

    Ready when: the headphones show their documented pairing pattern.

  2. Check the Headphone 1 LED

    First power-on: Oasis Plus 2 enters pairing automatically.

    Green + white flashing = searching.

    If not: Hold the Headphone 1 pairing button on Oasis Plus 2 for 3 seconds to start pairing.

  3. Wait for connection

    Keep both devices within 3 ft / 1 m.

DONEHeadphone 1 LED solid white = connected.

Using hearing aids? Check compatibility

Supported: Compatible Phonak Classic Bluetooth models.

STEP 05

Play and listen

  1. Play a TV program
  2. Put on your headphones

    Check that you hear the TV.

SETUP COMPLETEYou hear TV audio through your headphones.

NO SOUND?Check the two lights →

Adjust volume

Adjust your headphones and Oasis Plus 2 volume.

AUX: Also raise the TV output volume.

Optical only: For more volume, slide the OPT Volume Boost switch on Oasis Plus 2 to Boost.

OPTIONAL

Add second headphones

Keep the first headphones connected to Oasis Plus 2.

  1. Start pairing on Oasis Plus 2

    Hold the Headphone 2 pairing button on Oasis Plus 2 for 5 seconds.

    Headphone 2 LED: Green + white flashing = searching.

  2. Put the second headphones in pairing mode

    Turning them on is not enough. Keep them within 3 ft / 1 m of Oasis Plus 2.

DONEBoth headphone LEDs are solid white = both pairs connected.

IF NOTDisconnect the second headphones from nearby phones or computers. Get help →

Reconnect next time

Your headphones reconnect automatically when powered on.

If not: Disconnect them from other devices, then press the corresponding Headphone 1 or Headphone 2 button on Oasis Plus 2.

OPTIONAL

Use a soundbar too

Start after your headphones play TV audio through Oasis Plus 2.

  1. Connect the soundbar

    Use an extra cable: Oasis Plus 2 OUTPUT TO SPEAKER → soundbar audio input.

    Match both sides: Optical IN → Optical OUT, or AUX IN → AUX OUT.

  2. Select the soundbar input

    Select the input connected to Oasis Plus 2.

QUICK HELP

Fix the common problems

01Headphones won't connect
  1. Turn Bluetooth off on nearby phones and computers. If the TV asks to connect directly to the headphones, select Cancel.
  2. Put the headphones into Bluetooth pairing mode.
  3. If the Headphone 1 LED is not flashing green and white, hold the round Headphone 1 pairing button on the left of Oasis Plus 2 for 3 seconds.
  4. Keep both devices within 1–3 ft and wait for the Headphone 1 LED to turn solid white.

02No sound or OPT/AUX flashing
  1. Confirm the Headphone 1 LED is solid white. Green-and-white flashing means the headphones are not connected.
  2. A flashing white OPT or AUX light means the TV is not sending an audio signal. Reseat the cable and confirm the matching TV audio output.
  3. For Optical, select PCM or Stereo. For AUX, raise the TV output volume.

04Use TV speakers too

TV SETTING: This feature is controlled by your TV, not Oasis Plus 2, and may not be supported by every TV model.

  1. Use the Optical connection when available.
  2. Select TV Speaker + Optical or enable simultaneous optical output in the TV sound settings.
  3. Set Digital Audio Format to PCM or Stereo.

More Quick Fixes

Firmware update

Update Oasis Plus 2

  1. Download the Firmware Update Tool on a Windows/Mac computer.

  2. Connect Oasis Plus 2 to your computer with a USB data cable.

    Firmware update cable: Use the gray-tip cable that came with your device. Mac users can also use an Apple charging cable.

  3. Open the Firmware Update Tool.

    Follow the on-screen instructions.

    Keep Oasis Plus 2 connected until it says Complete.

After updating: reset Oasis Plus 2.
