TV ARC only · No built-in Bluetooth · Turn eARC off

Choose how you want to listen
Start with the devices you want to hear. You can change your choice at any time.
Check your TV and audio devices
Your TV must have an HDMI port labeled ARC or eARC. A regular HDMI port will not work. On an eARC TV, you must be able to turn eARC off so it uses ARC.
HAX06 does not send Bluetooth or Auracast audio. Keep your compatible transmitter or wireless-headphone base. It must accept Optical or analog audio and work with your headphones or hearing aids.
Your soundbar needs an HDMI ARC port. For an Optical-only soundbar, choose “AV receiver or wired audio system” instead.
Use the receiver’s ARC-enabled HDMI connection or an Optical, RCA, or AUX audio input. HAX06 does not connect directly to bare speaker wires or pair with wireless speakers.
Have ready: HAX06, its USB-C power cable, a 5V/1A USB power supply, an HDMI 2.0 or newer cable, and the cable for your audio device. HDMI and audio cables are not listed in the product’s included items.
TV speakers may mute when ARC is selected. HAX06 cannot guarantee TV speakers and external devices will play together.
Connect the USB-C power cable to HAX06 and a 5V/1A USB power supply. The power indicator should be solid red.
Connect the TV’s HDMI ARC/eARC port to HDMI ARC IN on HAX06.
TV HDMI ARC/eARC → HAX06 HDMI ARC IN
Using a set-top box, Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, or game console?
Connect its HDMI output to a different HDMI input on your TV. Keep the TV’s ARC/eARC port connected to HAX06. Do not connect the source device directly to HAX06.
If the source was connected to your AV receiver, move it to the TV for this setup. Later, set that source’s audio format to PCM/stereo when using Optical or analog outputs.
No red light? Reseat USB power, try a working power supply and outlet, then another USB-C power cable.
Connect HDMI ARC OUT on HAX06 to your soundbar’s HDMI ARC port.
Set HAX06 Bypass to ON. The Bypass indicator should be solid green.
Select the soundbar’s TV/ARC input.
Now connect your transmitter or headphone base using one of the outputs below.
Connect HAX06 HDMI ARC OUT to the receiver’s ARC-enabled HDMI port (often labeled HDMI OUT ARC). Do not use a regular HDMI input.
Set Bypass ON and select the receiver’s TV audio/ARC input. Look for a solid green Bypass light.
For headphones as well, connect a compatible transmitter to HAX06 Optical or RCA and use PCM stereo on the TV.
Remove any protective caps from the optical cable. Connect HAX06 OPT OUT → Optical IN on the transmitter or audio device. Insert both ends firmly and select its Optical input.
Connect HAX06 RCA OUT → RCA audio IN on the transmitter or audio system. Match red to right and white to left. Select that audio input; do not use a Phono input.
Connect HAX06 3.5 mm audio OUT → AUX IN on your transmitter, headphone base, or powered audio device. Insert the plugs fully and select AUX.
For wired headphones without a volume control, check suitability with Support before use. HAX06 has no headphone volume knob.
Set Bypass OFF for headphones/hearing aids only.
Set Bypass OFF for Optical or analog output only. Select the matching input on your audio system.
Power your transmitter/base and connect your headphones or hearing aids following that device’s instructions. You pair with the transmitter, not HAX06.
Set the TV to ARC and PCM
In your TV’s sound menu, choose HDMI ARC / receiver / external audio system as the sound output.
Turn HDMI-CEC and ARC ON. Turn eARC OFF.
Set the digital audio format to PCM / stereo for this sound check. For a connected set-top box or streaming device, set its audio format to PCM/stereo too.
Using headphones with a soundbar? Keep PCM stereo selected. Optical/analog extraction cannot preserve 5.1 surround sound at the same time.
For HDMI-only listening, compatible TVs and ARC soundbars can pass through supported 5.1 audio after the PCM sound check. Switch back to PCM whenever Optical or analog outputs are also needed.
You’re ready to listen. Keep your current connections and settings. You can return to “Fix a problem” if the sound changes.

Try the matching checks, then play the same programme again.
No sound from any connected device
Check that the power light is solid red and that the TV’s ARC/eARC port connects to HAX06 HDMI ARC IN.
Enable TV ARC and HDMI-CEC, turn eARC off, and choose HDMI ARC/receiver as the TV sound output.
Set TV digital audio to PCM. Set a connected streaming device or set-top box to PCM/stereo too.
Use Bypass OFF for Optical/analog only, or ON for an HDMI ARC soundbar/receiver. With ON, check for a solid green Bypass light.
Select the correct input on the listening device and raise its volume. Restart the TV and HAX06, reconnect HDMI, and try a known-good HDMI 2.0 or newer cable if needed.
Check: play a built-in TV app or TV channel first. If that works but a set-top box does not, use the source-device checks below.
TV apps work, but my set-top box or streaming device does not
Connect the source device to a normal HDMI input on the TV, not to HAX06 or the AV receiver.
Keep the TV ARC/eARC port connected to HAX06 HDMI ARC IN.
Select the source’s HDMI input on the TV. Set source audio to PCM/stereo and keep TV digital audio on PCM with eARC off.
Check: play content on that source, then compare it with the working TV app. If only the source is silent, send Support its model and audio-menu photos.
I want headphones only, or my TV speakers stopped playing
For private listening through a transmitter, set Bypass OFF. This disables the HDMI ARC passthrough path. The TV’s own speakers may mute automatically when ARC is selected.
HAX06 cannot force a TV to keep its internal speakers on. For shared listening with an external HDMI ARC soundbar, use Bypass ON + PCM.
Check: sound comes from the devices you want to use.
CEC volume control travels through HDMI only. It does not control Optical or RCA output volume. Adjust volume on the headphones, transmitter, or connected audio system.
For HDMI ARC soundbar volume, enable CEC on both the TV and soundbar.
Check: the appropriate device’s volume control changes the listening level.
Will my hearing aids, wireless speakers, or audio system work?
HAX06 is a wired TV audio extractor. It has no Bluetooth pairing function and does not broadcast directly to hearing aids or wireless speakers.
Hearing aids: use their compatible transmitter with an Optical or analog input. Confirm the exact hearing-aid and transmitter models with their manufacturer.
Soundbar + transmitter: soundbar on HAX06 HDMI ARC OUT; transmitter on Optical/RCA OUT; Bypass ON; TV eARC OFF and PCM stereo.
Wireless furniture/speakers: a separate compatible transmitter/receiver system is needed. HAX06 does not link a wired surround system directly to wireless speakers.
No TV ARC port, or eARC cannot be disabled: this HAX06 setup is not suitable. Ask Support about a connection that matches your equipment.
For a specific Samsung/Phonak/Polk or TCL/LG combination, provide the exact model numbers and photos of the ports. Brand names alone do not establish compatibility.
Surround sound is missing, or the two devices sound out of sync
Simultaneous HDMI and extracted Optical/analog listening uses PCM stereo. To use supported 5.1 on an ARC soundbar, use the HDMI path alone and choose a format supported by the TV and soundbar.
HAX06 does not pair wireless devices or provide a wireless-delay adjustment. If you hear echo between headphones and a soundbar, check the transmitter/headphones and TV/soundbar audio-delay settings.
Check: listen to dialogue again. If timing still differs, send Support the complete device chain and tell them which output is late.
